FACE is aware of the additional struggles that some in our community are forced to face during the COVID-19 pandemic. One segment of our community that asked for assistance is that of the homeless. Without hesitation, FACE rolled up our sleeves and packaged 150 survival kits which were distributed in November 2020. The kits contained: Mask, toothbrush, toothpaste, hygiene supplies, and socks.
Nana’s Story Time ─ An intergenerational literary activity for grandmothers and their grandchildren that highlights a book written and illustrated by an African-American author and illustrator. The tea features delicious food and a craft activity

FACE has an ongoing partnership and collaboration with the Child Development Council of Franklin County, Inc. Our commitment is to invest into the reading preparedness of preschoolers. Our goal is to purchase books and sponsor an interactive reading activity at least twice per year.
In addition to providing 65 back to school book bags, FACE purchased books twice in 2020 for CDC pre-schoolers. The end of year book selection was: “The Day I Tasted Sushi”, by our very own Jennifer Jordan.

The scholarship stipend is for students pursuing an undergraduate (4 year college/university) degree. The stipend amount is $75.00 per month during the school term. The annual fundraising event has been a part of the organization’s programs for over 30 years. The event recognizes men in the community who prepare their favorite food dish and serve a taste of their dish to the guest in attendance. The adult evening event includes musical artist, line dancing, 50-50 raffle and door prizes. The proceeds from this fundraising event will go towards the funding of our programs for the young and seniors in the Franklin County area.
